KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements as Hanwha Aerospace and Doosan Lead Gains

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced varied movements with notable performances by Hanwha Aerospace and Doosan. Hanwha Aerospace saw a significant increase, closing at 996,000 with a rise of 19,000, while Doosan ended the day at 601,000, marking an increase of 38,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies experienced declines, including LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp, which closed at 66,500, down by 1,500. HMM also saw a decrease, closing at 23,450 with a drop of 200. KumhoPetrochem and Mobis recorded declines as well, closing at 122,300 and 294,500, down by 1,300 and 12,000, respectively.

On the positive side, S-1 and SKTelecom reported gains, closing at 74,200 and 56,100, with increases of 200 and 100, respectively. Hyundai Elevator and HankukCarbon also showed upward movements, ending at 85,300 and 30,000, up by 4,400 and 250.

The report further stated that KEPCO and SamsungSecu experienced declines, closing at 38,550 and 70,800, with drops of 350 and 200, respectively. In contrast, SAMSUNG SDS and SamsungE and A saw positive changes, closing at 159,700 and 26,500, both rising by 100.

Additional notable movements included PanOcean and Samsung Card, which both closed higher at 4,210 and 49,800, with increases of 25 and 50. Meanwhile, LOTTE WELLFOOD and SAMSUNG LIFE saw declines, closing at 123,400 and 125,900, down by 1,200 and 1,400.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a mix of gains and losses across different sectors, with specific companies showing strong performances amid the fluctuations.
