‘Golden’ from ‘Demon Hunters’ Holds Steady at No. 2 on Billboard Hot 100

Los angeles: "Golden," a track from the animated U.S. film "KPop Demon Hunters," has maintained its position at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the second consecutive week. The song continues to capture the attention of music fans across the United States, showcasing the impact of K-pop influences in mainstream music.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Billboard provided a preview of its upcoming main singles chart, indicating that "Golden" ranked just behind Alex Warren's "Ordinary" this week. The track is performed by Ejae, a composer trained at SM Entertainment, alongside Korean American singer Audrey Nuna and South Korean-born U.S. artist Rei Ami. Together, they form the fictional girl group Huntr/x, featured in the Netflix original movie. Notable producers Teddy and 24, associated with major K-pop agency The Black Label, co-produced the song.

The journey of "Golden" on the Billboard Hot 100 chart has been impressive. It debuted at No. 81 early last month and has progressively climbed through No. 23, No. 6, and No. 4 before reaching its current position. The Billboard Hot 100 ranks the most popular songs in the United States, considering streaming, radio airplay, and sales data.

In the current chart tracking period, "Golden" recorded 28.9 million streams, marking a 13 percent increase from the previous week. This achievement secures its status as the highest streaming count among all Hot 100 entries for the fifth consecutive week, as reported by Billboard.

Produced by Sony Pictures Animation, the Netflix original film "KPop Demon Hunters" features the fictional girl group Huntr/x, who protect the human world from evil spirits. In a related development, "Your Idol" by Saja Boys, Huntr/x's rival idol group in the film, climbed three spots to crack the top 10 this week, landing at No. 9.
