Seoul: Another round of heavy rains is expected to drench the nation this week, with downpours of around 70 millimeters per hour expected in some parts of the country, the weather agency said Wednesday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, around 30 to 100 mm of rain was expected in the greater Seoul area and parts of Gangwon Province, with 30 to 80 mm forecasted in the provinces of Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Gyeongsang from Wednesday to Thursday.
Some areas within the broader capital region and Gangwon Province may receive over 150 mm of rain, whereas parts of the southern provinces of Jeolla are anticipated to experience over 120 mm of precipitation.
The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) has cautioned against using roads near streams due to the risk of sudden swelling from the downpours.
As the rain is set to blanket the nation, the daily high temperature on Wednesday is forecasted to reach between 28 to 34 degrees Celsius.
