Celltrion’s Q2 Net Profit Drops by 19.3% to 63.3 Billion Won

Seoul: Celltrion Inc. on Wednesday reported its second-quarter net income of 63.3 billion won (US$45.6 million), marking a 19.3 percent decrease from the previous year. This downturn in net profit comes despite significant improvements in other financial metrics for the same period.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating profit for the April-June period saw a notable increase, reaching 242.5 billion won, which represents a 234.5 percent rise compared to the previous year. Revenue during this time also experienced growth, climbing 9.9 percent to total 961.5 billion won.

The operating profit was consistent with the average estimate, as indicated by a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data arm of Yonhap News Agency. However, specific estimates for net profit were not available for comparison.
