Seoul: KEPCO KPS on Thursday reported its second-quarter net income of 50.9 billion won (US$36.8 million), marking a 14.6 percent decline from the same period last year. The company disclosed these figures in its latest regulatory filing, highlighting a challenging quarter for the energy sector firm.
According to Yonhap News Agency, KEPCO KPS also reported an operating profit of 65.6 billion won for the quarter, a decrease from the 74.4 billion won recorded in the previous year. Despite the drop in net and operating profits, the company experienced a 5.9 percent increase in revenue, totaling 454 billion won for the quarter.
These financial results come as KEPCO KPS navigates a complex economic landscape, aiming to maintain stability in its operational performance. The company continues to adapt its strategies in response to fluctuating market conditions and strives to leverage opportunities for revenue growth.
