Seoul: Grand Korea Leisure Co. reported a significant increase in its second-quarter net income, reaching 17 billion won (US$12.3 million). This marks a 49.7 percent rise compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the April-June period experienced a 20.8 percent year-on-year increase, amounting to 16 billion won. Additionally, the company's revenue saw a growth of 2.1 percent, totaling 100.9 billion won.
The operating profit exceeded expectations, being 17.4 percent higher than the average estimate provided by a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency. However, the survey did not provide an estimate for the net profit.
