KOSPI 200 Experiences Mixed Results with Notable Gains and Losses

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a range of movements today as several companies experienced fluctuations in their stock prices. While some companies recorded gains, others noted declines, reflecting the varied trading activities in the market.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hanwha Life saw an increase, closing at 3,425, up by 30. Amorepacific also experienced a rise, closing at 130,200, up by 1,400. Foosung's stock went up by 75 to close at 5,030, and SK hynix saw a significant rise, closing at 262,000, up by 3,500. Hanchem's stock climbed by 1,400 to reach 174,700, while KEPCO increased by 850, ending at 42,000.

Other notable gainers included Lotte Shopping, which rose by 600 to close at 73,100, Hyundai Elevator, which increased by 1,000 to 82,700, and Hankuk Carbon, which went up by 1,200 to 32,450. Coway and GKL also saw increases, closing at 108,600 and 16,570, up by 700 and 420 respectively. Kolon Industries and Hanmi Pharm recorded gains as well, with Kolon Industries up by 450 to 40,400 and Hanmi Pharm by 1,500 to 285,000.

On the other hand, Hankook and Company experienced a decline, closing at 23,750, down by 200. DWS and POSCO DX saw their stocks fall by 100 and 150, closing at 30,500 and 23,850 respectively. Samsung Securities and SK Telecom also noted decreases, ending at 70,600 and 55,500, down by 200 and 800 respectively.

Additional companies that saw declines included Poongsan, down by 4,000 to close at 127,000, KB Financial Group, which decreased by 600 to 115,000, and Meritz Financial, which also fell by 600, closing at 114,000. Youngone Corp and Dentium saw their stocks drop by 100 and 700, closing at 59,200 and 63,200 respectively. Samsung Biologics and Chongkundang also closed lower, with Samsung Biologics down by 2,000 to 1,029,000 and Chongkundang down by 500 to 82,000.
