Seoul: North Korea on Saturday began dismantling loudspeakers installed along the border for noise campaigns against South Korea, the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said. The JCS reported detecting movement in parts of the front-line area, noting that further verification is required to determine if the dismantling will occur in all border areas.
According to Yonhap News Agency, this development follows South Korea's completion of dismantling its anti-Pyongyang loudspeakers earlier this week along the heavily fortified border. The removal of the loudspeakers marks a significant step in reducing tensions along the border, where both nations have utilized these devices for propaganda purposes in the past.
