KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance Amid Declines in Major Companies

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a mixed performance as trading closed, with several major companies experiencing declines in their stock prices. The day saw notable movements, particularly with companies like Doosan and Amorepacific, which registered significant drops.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LG H and H ended the day at 295,000, marking a decrease of 2,500, while LGCHEM saw a decline of 2,000, closing at 275,500. Hyundai Rotem also faced a drop, with its stock price falling by 2,800 to close at 178,300. Among other companies, LGELECTRONICS and Celltrion recorded declines, closing at 75,900 and 172,400, respectively.

On the positive side, some companies managed to record gains. L and F increased by 900, closing at 84,300, and KIH saw an upswing of 3,100, ending at 139,000. Hyundai Glovis was another notable performer, experiencing a rise of 6,500 to close at 169,800. SK hynix and HanmiPharm also witnessed increases, closing at 269,000 and 282,000, respectively.

The financial sector showed mixed results. JB Financial Group's price remained stable at 22,000, while Hana Financial Group and KB Financial Group experienced gains, closing at 85,400 and 114,100, respectively. Despite these gains, Meritz Financial's price remained unchanged at 111,600.

Other significant movements included a sharp decline for Doosan, which dropped by 42,000 to close at 558,000, and Amorepacific, which fell by 4,000, ending at 122,600. These changes contributed to the overall mixed performance of the KOSPI 200 as the market adjusted to various economic factors influencing stock prices.
