Seoul: President Lee Jae Myung and U.S. President Donald Trump are set to hold their first summit in Washington on August 25. The meeting aims to discuss strategies to strengthen the alliance between South Korea and the United States, focusing on cooperation in advanced industries, as announced by the presidential office on Tuesday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, President Lee will embark on a three-day visit to the United States, starting on August 24. This visit marks his first official trip to the U.S. since assuming office in early June. Presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung communicated these details to reporters, emphasizing the significance of the meeting in reinforcing bilateral ties.
