Bill Gates to Visit South Korea for Global Health Partnership Talks

Seoul: Bill Gates, a co-founder of Microsoft Corp. and chair of the Gates Foundation, is set to visit South Korea later this month to engage in discussions about ongoing partnerships with South Korean biotech firms and government officials. This information was revealed by sources on Thursday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Gates plans to meet with officials from companies that are actively involved in vaccine development and manufacturing. He will also hold discussions with relevant government officials to focus on strengthening global health initiatives. The visit aims to explore future collaborations with both the government and private sectors in South Korea.

In addition to these meetings, Gates is expected to pay a courtesy call on President Lee Jae Myung. During his previous visit to Seoul in 2022, he met with then-President Yoon Suk Yeol.
