KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance with Notable Gains in Aerospace and Defense Stocks

The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed results with gains and losses across various sectors. Stocks in the aerospace and defense sectors, in particular, showed notable increases. Korea Aerospace saw its share price rise by 3,400 to close at 92,400, while LIG Nex1 experienced a significant gain of 28,500, closing at 524,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other stocks also showed positive movement. Hyundai Rotem increased by 7,200 to reach 181,000, Celltrion rose by 2,500 to 173,800, and KIH advanced by 1,900 to 127,200. Additionally, KDHC saw a rise of 1,500, closing at 78,600, and Poongsan gained 3,000 to end at 119,200.

On the downside, several companies faced declines. KEPCO KPS dropped by 1,300 to 51,200, while LG Chem decreased by 5,500, closing at 287,500. Other companies such as Hana Financial Group and Amorepacific experienced declines of 600 and 200, respectively. SK Innovation and KB Financial Group also saw their prices fall, with decreases of 800 and 1,300.

The trading day also saw stability in some stocks, such as Daewoong Pharm, which held steady. Meanwhile, emart and Hyundai Glovis saw declines, with emart falling by 900 to 75,700 and Hyundai Glovis dropping by 2,900 to 169,100.
