Seoul: Korean Air Co. said Tuesday it has signed a US$50 billion agreement to purchase over 100 new planes and aircraft engines from Boeing Co. and GE Aerospace during President Lee Jae Myung's visit to Washington.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the airline confirmed in a regulatory filing that it will acquire 103 aircraft, including 50 Boeing 737-10s, valued at $36.2 billion.
Korean Air further detailed a separate $13.7 billion arrangement with GE Aerospace for the purchase of 19 aircraft engines.
