Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced varied movements in the latest trading session, with several companies recording both gains and losses. The performance highlighted a mixed market sentiment with notable shifts in stock prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, GS E and C saw a decrease of 280, closing at 18,820, while GS Retail dropped by 240 to settle at 16,260. SAMSUNG SDI CO., LTD. also faced a decline of 500, ending the session at 221,000. GC Corp experienced a significant drop of 1,100, finishing at 133,100. In contrast, SK hynix rose by 2,000, closing at 261,500, and LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp increased by 2,900, reaching 68,200.
HyundaiEng and Const recorded a notable decline of 2,600, closing at 61,700, whereas Korea Zinc fell sharply by 25,000, ending at 792,000. MIWON SC also decreased by 2,100, settling at 140,800. Meanwhile, SamsungHvyInd saw an increase of 600, closing at 20,600, and LG Innotek went up by 1,600, reaching 160,300.
The trading session also saw OTOKI increase by 1,500 to 384,500, and DN AUTOMOTIVE rise by 900, closing at 26,200. On the downside, SKSQUARE faced a significant drop of 3,600, closing at 141,200, while kakaopay decreased by 3,000, ending at 60,400. However, KPIC saw a substantial increase of 13,400, closing at 125,900.
Other notable movements included HYBE's increase of 4,000 to 297,500, Doosan Robotics' rise by 1,200 to 64,600, and ISUSPECIALTYCHEMICAL's gain of 1,000, closing at 48,050. Conversely, Hanwha Ocean dropped by 7,100, finishing at 107,800, while KumhoPetrochem fell by 1,500, closing at 111,800.
In addition, Mobis experienced an increase of 500, closing at 299,500, and HDC HOLDINGS rose by 350, ending at 21,000. S-1 increased by 300, reaching 79,100, and Hanchem gained 800, closing at 172,300. DWS, however, decreased by 300, settling at 29,350. The market demonstrated a diverse range of movements, reflecting the dynamic nature of the trading session.
