Washington: South Korean companies are set to invest around US$150 billion in the United States, as revealed by the chair of a prominent business association. This announcement coincides with a summit between Presidents Lee Jae Myung and Donald Trump, focusing on enhancing economic cooperation.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Ryu Jin, the chairman of the Federation of Korean Industries, disclosed the total investment commitment on behalf of South Korean companies during a business roundtable. This event featured executives from both countries.
Key figures in attendance included Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. The gathering aimed to foster stronger business ties and explore mutual economic benefits.
