Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index concluded its trading session with a mix of gains and losses among its listed companies. Key performers included Youngone Holdings, which saw a notable increase of 5,900, closing at 132,000. Meanwhile, Korea Zinc also experienced a substantial rise, closing at 821,000, up by 17,000. Mobis followed closely with a gain of 16,000, ending the session at 318,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies faced declines, with Hanwha Aerospace experiencing a significant drop of 24,000, closing at 884,000. Samsung SDI CO.,LTD. also saw a decrease, closing at 207,000, down by 9,000. Other companies like OTOKI and HDKSOE registered losses of 2,500 and 2,000, respectively.
On the positive side, LS ELECTRIC and LG Innotek showed upward trends, closing at 284,500 and 169,100, respectively. HD HYUNDAI MIPO benefited from a gain of 2,000, closing at 204,500. Additionally, SK hynix and Hanchem saw increases, with SK hynix closing at 269,000, up by 500, and Hanchem ending at 177,300, up by 300.
Despite these gains, the session was marked by several declines, with companies like KPIC, OCI Holdings, and Hanmi Science all experiencing drops. KPIC closed at 122,000, down by 1,500, while OCI Holdings ended at 87,500, down by 2,400. Hanmi Science registered a decline of 1,500, closing at 41,050.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index displayed a varied performance, reflecting the dynamic nature of the market as companies experienced both gains and setbacks.
