Seoul: South Korean battery maker LG Energy Solution Ltd. announced it has signed two supply deals with Germany-based Mercedes-Benz AG, with a combined volume of 107 gigawatt-hours (GWh).
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company revealed in a regulatory filing that it will supply 32 GWh of batteries directly to Mercedes-Benz and an additional 75 GWh to the carmaker's affiliate. The agreements are set to span several years, with the contract with Mercedes-Benz running from 2028 to 2035, and the deal with its affiliate extending from 2029 to 2037.
The filing also noted that the contract price has yet to be determined. LG Energy Solution emphasized that the supply volume and other specifics may change, contingent upon negotiations with clients.
