Beijing: U.S. President Donald Trump asked for sending his "warmest regards" to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and Russian President Vladimir Putin during their attendance at a military parade in Beijing. This request came as Trump expressed discomfort over what he described as "conspiring" against the United States.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Trump made the statement via a social media post while Chinese President Xi Jinping, Kim, and Putin showcased their solidarity during the parade. The event marked the 80th anniversary of Japan's official surrender and the end of World War II.
Trump further questioned whether President Xi would acknowledge the significant support and sacrifice provided by the United States during China's fight for freedom. "Many Americans died in China's quest for Victory and Glory," Trump commented, emphasizing the importance of honoring the American soldiers for their bravery and sacrifice. He extended his wishes for a meaningful celebration to President Xi and the people of China.
