Seoul: Amorepacific Corp., South Korea's leading cosmetics maker, has announced a strategic plan aiming to nearly triple its sales to 15 trillion won (US$10.78 billion) by 2035. This 10-year business strategy was revealed at an event commemorating the company's 80th anniversary.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Chairman Suh Kyung-bae introduced the mid- to long-term roadmap under the slogan "Create New Beauty." Suh stated the company's ambition to evolve into a global beauty solutions provider, setting a clear target to become one of the world's leading beauty and wellness companies with annual sales reaching 15 trillion won. This new goal significantly surpasses the company's 2024 sales figure of 3.89 trillion won.
To achieve this ambitious target, Amorepacific plans to concentrate on five major markets: North America, Europe, China, India-Middle East, and Japan-Southeast Asia. The company intends to enhance its beauty solutions and incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into its operations. These regions currently represent 80 percent of global cosmetics sales, highlighting their strategic importance.
Furthermore, Amorepacific aims to position itself among the world's top three players in the premium skin care segment, alongside industry leaders such as French beauty giant L'Oreal and U.S. luxury group Est©e Lauder. The premium skin care market is estimated at 88 trillion won, offering significant growth opportunities for the company.
Despite a 14.1 percent increase in sales to 2.07 trillion won in the first half of 2025, Amorepacific experienced a 74.4 percent decline in net income to 156.58 billion won. The company remains committed to its long-term vision and strategic goals to overcome current challenges and secure its position as a key player in the global cosmetics industry.
