Seoul: An explosion at an Army artillery unit in the northwestern city of Paju has resulted in injuries to at least eight soldiers, with two of them reported to be in serious condition. The explosion occurred during artillery drills that were being conducted without the use of live ammunition, according to officials.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the incident took place at approximately 3:30 p.m. The explosion was attributed to a practice shell that was intended to create sound effects during the drills.
