KOSPI 200 Update: Notable Stock Movements Observed

Seoul: The latest KOSPI 200 index indicates a mix of upward and downward movements among prominent South Korean stocks. Noteworthy changes include a significant rise in the stock price of Hanwha Aerospace, which climbed by 38,000 to reach 1,005,000. Other companies such as Samsung C and T and Nongshim also saw substantial increases, with their stock prices rising by 4,100 and 78,500, respectively.

According to Yonhap News Agency, several other companies experienced gains, including Samsung Life which rose by 2,300 to 160,900, and SK hynix, which increased by 3,000 to 307,000. Among the decliners, KEPCO's stock dropped by 1,150 to 37,550, while Doosan Enerbility faced a decline of 1,600, closing at 61,000.

The report further highlights that LG Uplus and COSMAX recorded upward movements, with their shares increasing by 750 and 7,000, respectively. Meanwhile, companies such as Mobis and SK saw declines, with Mobis down by 3,000 to 316,000 and SK decreasing by 2,000 to 220,500.

Other notable movements include a rise in HD Hyundai Heavy Industries by 13,000 to 517,000, while Hyundai Engineering and Construction's stock declined by 1,200 to 58,700. Smaller increases were observed in stocks like Hanchem, DWS, and DongSuh, among others. On the other hand, KEPCO E and C witnessed a drop of 1,400, closing at 91,200.
