Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited a mix of gains and losses as trading concluded, reflecting fluctuations across various sectors. Key movements included Hanchem and SKSQUARE posting significant gains, while HDHMS and KOREA AEROSPACE saw declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, notable upward movements included Hanchem, which increased by 12,700 to close at 186,400, and SKSQUARE, rising by 15,200 to reach 197,300. Samsung SDS also experienced an increase, climbing 3,600 to a closing price of 167,100. Meanwhile, SK posted a gain of 2,000, ending the day at 222,500. Other increases were observed in Nongshim, up 34,000 to 522,000, and HYBE, which rose by 6,500 to 292,000.
Conversely, several stocks faced downward trends. HDHMS fell 4,500 to 215,000, and KOREA AEROSPACE decreased by 2,900 to 99,100. SAMSUNG C and T also saw a decline, down 3,500 to 183,000. Additional decreases were recorded for Samsung Life, which dropped 1,000 to 159,900, and KEPCO, which went down 650, closing at 36,900.
The financials of other companies also shifted, with SamsungE and A decreasing by 500 to close at 28,400, while Kumho Tire saw a marginal rise of 20 to end at 4,980. Similarly, SK Telecom and Coway posted modest gains, increasing by 200 and 300, respectively.
