Seoul: The KOSPI 200, a major index of the South Korean stock market, experienced a varied trading session with notable fluctuations in the closing prices of several companies. Among the gainers, Doosan Enerbility saw an increase of 1,600 to close at 62,400. Meanwhile, LG Display also rose by 300, finishing the day at 13,340. On the other hand, several companies faced declines, with NAVER dropping by 2,000 to 232,000 and SKSQUARE decreasing by 1,000 to 215,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other notable movements included a decline in HDHMS, which fell by 6,500 to a closing price of 203,500. In contrast, COSMAX enjoyed a significant rise of 9,000, ending at 243,500. Additionally, HanmiPharm increased by 5,500 to 366,000, while LGCHEM saw an uplift of 4,000 to close the day at 295,000. Meanwhile, several companies remained unchanged, such as kakaopay at 56,500 and LG H and H at 292,000.
The financial sector also witnessed some fluctuations, with KEPCO KPS gaining 600 to reach 49,500, whereas ShinhanGroup declined by 300, closing at 69,500. Hanwha Ocean and Youngone Corp both saw declines, with decreases of 2,100 and 1,900, respectively. Meanwhile, BNK Financial Group experienced a slight increase of 60, ending at 14,940.
