Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a mixed performance as some major stocks closed with gains while others saw declines. Notably, SamsungElec and LG Innotek reported significant increases, while HDKSOE and OTOKI faced notable losses.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SamsungElec's stock price increased by 1,200, closing at 84,700, marking a positive movement in the market. LG Innotek also showed a strong performance, with its stock rising by 4,000 to close at 197,100. Other companies that experienced gains include HyundaiMtr, which rose by 1,000 to reach 219,000, and ISUSPECIALTYCHEMICAL, which saw an increase of 5,600, closing at 51,200.
Conversely, some stocks faced declines, with HDKSOE witnessing a decrease of 3,500, closing at 399,500. OTOKI's stock fell by 3,000 to end at 416,000, while SamsungElecMech decreased by 3,000, closing at 204,000. POSCO Holdings also experienced a decline, with its stock price falling by 2,000 to 278,500.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 displayed a varied trend with stocks such as YoungoneHoldings and HANWHA SOLUTIONS gaining 1,900 and 250 respectively, while others like HD HYUNDAI MIPO and LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp faced losses of 1,700 and 1,200 respectively.
