KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movement with Significant Declines in Several Stocks

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a varied performance, with several stocks experiencing notable declines in their closing prices. Among the companies that ended the trading day on a lower note were HanjinKAL, which saw its stock price drop by 3,500 to close at 101,000, and Krafton, whose shares fell by 5,000 to 302,500. Other significant decliners included Samsung Life, which decreased by 4,800 to 152,800, and SK, with a significant drop of 12,000 to end at 210,500.

According to Yonhap News Agency, some stocks managed to buck the downward trend. Hanchem was one of the biggest gainers, with its stock price rising by 10,500 to close at 217,500. Korea Aerospace also performed positively, increasing by 3,600 to 109,000. Additionally, Doosan Enerbility saw an uptick of 2,800, ending at 65,900.

The mixed performance reflects the current market volatility, with investors reacting to various economic signals. Companies like Hankook Tire and Technology, Kolmar Korea, and JB Financial Group also experienced declines, closing at 38,300, 78,900, and 23,500, respectively. Meanwhile, Netmarble and Kia Corp. saw modest gains, highlighting the varied investor sentiment across different sectors.
