KOSPI 200 Stocks See Declines with Few Gains Recorded

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a downward trend in the closing prices of various companies, with only a few exceptions showing an upward movement. The list of companies includes a mix of industries, where most saw a decline in their stock prices, while a select few managed to rise.

According to Yonhap News Agency, notable declines were observed in companies such as Hankuk Carbon, which fell by 350 to close at 32,100, and Hanon Systems, which saw a decrease of 50, ending at 3,070. SK experienced a substantial drop of 3,000, closing at 206,500, while POSCO DX decreased by 750 to finish at 21,400. Lotte Shopping also saw a decline, closing at 70,300, down by 900.

Several other companies experienced decreases, including IBK, which fell by 230 to 19,320, and DONGSUH, which closed at 27,100 after a 400-point drop. Samsung E and A ended at 27,150, down by 700, and Samsung C and T saw a decline of 2,400, closing at 187,900. PanOcean decreased slightly by 50, ending at 3,905.

On the other hand, a few companies recorded gains. LG Uplus saw a modest increase, rising by 40 to 14,980, while Samsung Life experienced a significant rise of 1,800, closing at 152,000. Youngone Corp also saw an increase of 300, ending at 62,800, and Hanmi Pharm rose by 2,000 to 377,000.

The overall trend of the KOSPI 200 index indicates a challenging day for most companies, with notable exceptions that managed to achieve gains in the face of widespread declines.
