Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected a mixed performance with several companies experiencing notable shifts in their stock prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the trading session revealed significant fluctuations, with declines dominating the board.
Notable declines included NCsoft, which saw a decrease of 5,500 to close at 216,000. ShinhanGroup also experienced a drop, closing down 100 at 70,800. Meanwhile, Hyundai Glovis and AmorePacific faced substantial declines, with their stocks decreasing by 2,700 and 3,300, closing at 165,400 and 122,300 respectively.
On the positive side, Hyundai Rotem marked an increase of 3,500, closing at 219,000. LIG Nex1 also saw a rise, ending the day up 6,000 at 513,000. Other gainers included L and F, which increased by 1,400 to 74,300, and Doosan, which rose by 9,000 to close at 541,000.
The financial sector saw mixed outcomes as well, with Hana Financial Group and Meritz Financial experiencing declines of 1,600 and 2,000, respectively. However, BNK Financial Group recorded a minor gain, ending the day up 70 at 14,590.
Overall, the session highlighted varied performances across different sectors, reflecting broader market sentiments and economic conditions.
