Seoul: LG Electronics Inc. has announced a decline in its estimated third-quarter operating profit to 688.9 billion won (US$482.6 million), representing an 8.4 percent drop compared to the same period last year. This announcement was made on Monday, providing a glimpse into the company's financial performance for the quarter.
According to Yonhap News Agency, LG's revenue also saw a decrease of 1.4 percent, amounting to 21.87 trillion won. However, it is important to note that the data for net income during this period was not provided. Despite the decline in operating profit, the figure was 13.9 percent higher than the average estimate, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data arm of Yonhap News Agency.
LG Electronics has communicated that it will release its final earnings report at a later date, which is expected to provide a more comprehensive view of its financial health and outlook for future quarters.
