Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected a day of mixed outcomes with significant gains in several prominent stocks. Among the top performers, SK hynix experienced a notable surge, closing at 452,500, up by 30,000. Other major gainers included SKSQUARE, which rose 14,000 to 257,500, and Doosan, which closed at 606,000, marking an increase of 7,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Biologics also saw a positive uptick, closing at 1,133,000 with a gain of 6,000. KIA CORP. reported a rise of 7,500, ending the day at 111,300. Meanwhile, SK Innovation showed a significant increase, closing at 116,000, up by 8,300. Hanwha Ocean and NCsoft both ended the day with gains, closing at 109,100 and 210,500, respectively.
On the other hand, some stocks faced declines. HDHMS dropped by 2,000 to close at 232,000, while COSMAX fell by 1,000, ending at 202,000. HANATOUR SERVICE and Youngpoong also experienced decreases, closing at 47,350 and 47,800, respectively. Despite these declines, the overall market sentiment appeared positive, with many stocks showing robust performance.
