Seoul: The KOSPI 200 experienced a day of mixed outcomes as several major stocks listed saw both gains and losses. The fluctuations in closing prices reflect varying trends in the market, with some companies witnessing significant declines while a few experienced gains.
According to Yonhap News Agency, notable decliners included Samsung Biologics, which saw a decrease of 16,000 in its stock price, closing at 1,117,000. HD Hyundai Electric also experienced a sizeable drop, falling by 18,000 to close at 667,000. Other companies such as Krafton and HYBE recorded declines of 5,000 and 3,500, closing at 285,000 and 269,500, respectively.
Conversely, some stocks recorded gains. HD Hyundai rose by 3,000, closing at 163,000, while HL Mando increased by 1,250 to end at 35,400. SK ie technology also saw a significant rise, climbing 2,550 to close at 33,950. ECOPRO MAT gained 2,400, reaching a closing price of 65,800.
Other stocks that experienced declines included Meritz Financial, which fell by 1,900 to 111,800, and Netmarble, dropping by 1,100 to settle at 54,200. DoubleUGames and KakaoPay both saw decreases of 800 and 1,100, closing at 50,000 and 50,400, respectively.
In contrast, SK Innovation recorded a positive movement, rising by 600 to close at 116,600. Doosan Bobcat and SKCHEM each gained 100, closing at 59,300 and 60,500, respectively. HS Hyosung Advanced also saw a slight increase, ending at 185,000, up by 100.
Overall, the KOSPI 200's performance showcased a dynamic trading session with varying changes in stock prices, highlighting the diverse movements within the South Korean market.
