Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mixed performance today as several key stocks registered notable changes. Kogas saw a decline, closing at 40,400, down by 50, while Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance experienced an increase, reaching 444,500, up by 8,000. Hanchem also rose to 209,000, marking an increase of 3,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, DWS decreased to 29,450, a decline of 250, whereas KEPCO fell to 42,200, down by 500. Samsung Securities rose significantly to 79,000, up by 4,600, and SAMSUNG C and T decreased to 208,000, down by 2,500. PanOcean and IBK showed upward trends, closing at 3,730 and 19,380, an increase of 40 and 290, respectively.
Several other stocks saw gains, with LOTTE SHOPPING rising to 67,200, up by 300, and DONGSUH increasing to 27,500, up by 350. HANATOUR SERVICE closed at 46,950, increasing by 50, while COSMAX saw a substantial rise to 209,500, up by 10,100. Hanwha Ocean also experienced a notable increase, closing at 113,700, up by 6,500.
Meanwhile, SAMSUNG SDS and CJ CheilJedang showed upward movements, closing at 168,600 and 231,000, up by 3,100 and 1,000, respectively. Korea Aerospace rose to 97,500, marking an increase of 1,900, and GS closed at 46,500, up by 1,000. Other stocks such as Misto Holdings, HANAFINANCIALGR, and LIG Nex1 also experienced rises, closing at 39,200, 88,400, and 443,500, up by 1,100, 2,300, and 10,000, respectively.
Among the stocks that saw a decline, POSCO INTERNATIONAL fell to 52,100, down by 800, and KEPCO E and C decreased to 96,200, a drop of 1,500. Meanwhile, LG H and H and NCsoft remained unchanged at 281,500 and 202,000, respectively.
