According to Yonhap News Agency, foreign ministry spokesperson Lee Jae-woong emphasized the importance of maintaining close communication and cooperation with Japan's new Cabinet. The spokesperson highlighted that both countries, as neighboring nations and global partners, face rapidly changing geopolitical dynamics and trade orders. Therefore, it is crucial for South Korea and Japan to work collaboratively to advance their bilateral relations.
Earlier, Sanae Takaichi achieved a significant milestone by winning a pivotal vote from Japan's lower house of parliament, followed by securing approval from the upper house. This historic event marked her as the first woman to become the prime minister of Japan.
