Seoul: Samsung SDI Co. on Tuesday reported its third-quarter net profit of 5.7 billion won (US$4 million), down 97.5 percent from a year earlier. The company disclosed these figures in a recent regulatory filing, highlighting significant financial downturns over the past year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung SDI Co. experienced an operating loss of 591.3 billion won for the July-September period, contrasting sharply with a profit of 129.9 billion won recorded in the same period last year. Revenue also declined by 22.5 percent, amounting to 3.05 trillion won.
