Busan: BNK Financial Group on Thursday reported its third-quarter net profit of 299.5 billion won (US$209.7 million), marking an increase of 37.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating profit for the July-September period reached 380.4 billion won, representing a 57.5 percent increase from the previous year. Meanwhile, sales saw a modest rise of 0.6 percent, totaling 2.29 trillion won.
The financial results surpassed market expectations, as the average estimate of net profit by analysts was projected at 254.1 billion won. This estimate was derived from a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
