Seoul: Hyundai Wia Corp., a South Korean auto parts manufacturer, on Friday reported its third-quarter net loss of 11.4 billion won (US$8 million), remaining in the red compared with a year ago. The company continues to face financial challenges despite some positive trends in other areas of its business.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Wia announced in a regulatory filing that its operating income for the July-September period rose 1.2 percent on-year to 51.8 billion won. The company's revenue also saw a 7.2 percent increase, reaching 2.15 trillion won. These figures indicate some operational improvements, yet the company still reported a net loss for the quarter.
The financial outcome reflects ongoing difficulties in the global automotive sector, which has been impacted by various factors including supply chain disruptions and fluctuating market demands. Despite the net loss, the rise in both operating income and revenue suggests that Hyundai Wia is making strides toward stabilizing its business operations.
