Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a varied trading session, closing with a blend of ups and downs across different companies. Among the top performers was HanmiPharm, which experienced a significant rise in its stock price, climbing 34,500 points to reach 425,000. Similarly, HyundaiMtr recorded a notable increase, closing at 290,000, up by 25,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also saw gains, although not as substantial. SLCORP closed up by 900 at 36,350, while Yuhan increased by 2,000 to 118,000. Nongshim and MIWON SC also reported gains, with their prices rising by 4,500 and 3,200, respectively. Meanwhile, Hanall Biopharma saw an uplift of 7,600, ending at 41,400, and SamyangFood went up by 26,000 to close at 1,348,000.
Conversely, several companies faced declines. Samsung SDI CO., LTD. dropped by 3,500 to 322,000, while SK Innovation experienced a fall of 5,700, closing at 128,900. LotteChilsung decreased by 1,300 to 115,300, and LG Corp. saw a reduction of 2,400, ending at 80,300. Other companies such as Hyundai M and F INS, KCC, and Shinsegae also reported downtrends.
The session concluded with some companies maintaining their previous closing prices, such as SBHC, which remained unchanged at 27,500. Overall, the KOSPI 200 displayed a mixed performance, reflecting varied movements in the stock prices of its constituent companies.
