Seoul: Hyundai Mobis Co., South Korea's leading auto parts maker, reported its third-quarter net profit of 930.5 billion won (US$651.4 million), marking a 1 percent increase from the previous year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the July-September period experienced a 14.1 percent decline on-year, amounting to 780.3 billion won. Meanwhile, the company's revenue saw a 7.4 percent growth, reaching 15.03 trillion won. Despite these figures, the earnings fell short of market expectations, as the average estimate of net profit by analysts was projected at 980.7 billion won, based on a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
