Seoul: South Korea's exports recorded an 8.2 percent on-year gain in the first 20 days of November, data showed Friday. Outbound shipments reached US$38.5 billion from Nov. 1 to Thursday, compared with $35.6 billion tallied a year earlier, according to the data from the Korea Customs Service.
According to Yonhap News Agency, imports increased 3.7 percent on-year to $36.1 billion during the period, resulting in a trade surplus of $2.4 billion. In October, exports grew 3.6 percent from a year earlier to $59.57 billion on the back of strong demand for semiconductors, marking the fifth consecutive month of increase.
