AIA PUBLIC TAKAFUL PLEDGES RM800,000 TOWARDS COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT VIA KONGSI REZEKI PROGRAMME


KUALA LUMPUR, AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd (AIA PUBLIC Takaful) has reaffirmed its commitment to community enrichment and wellbeing by pledging RM800,000 to its ‘Kongsi Rezeki’ programme, a community initiative in collaboration with the Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA).

Its chief executive officer Elmie Aman Najas said the contribution will be channelled towards supporting 15 orphanage homes that are the beneficiaries of the Kongsi Rezeki programme throughout the year.

‘We are thrilled to extend our Kongsi Rezeki programme into its fourth year. We are adding four new orphanages to the beneficiaries list this year, increasing the number of orphanage homes to 15.

‘Recognising the importance of supporting initiatives that uplift and empower our communities, it is vital we continue playing our part as a responsible corporate citizen,’ he said at the AIA PUBLIC Takaful Aidilfitri Open House here today.

Launched in 2021, the Kongsi Rezeki programme places a strong emphasis on promoting community well-being and enrichme
nt, with a focus on enhancing the physical and emotional welfare of underprivileged children.

Elmie said the pledge underscores the company’s commitment to driving meaningful changes that brings positive impact to the communities it serves.

‘The funds will provide crucial support in the form of daily supplies, and other essential resources as well as enhance the physical and mental well-being of the underprivileged children through various activities.

‘We hope the contributions go a long way in securing a brighter future for them, where every child can aspire, excel, and thrive in their own unique way,’ he added.

Through different phases of the programme, these orphanages have received brand new laptops, living necessities such as bed frames and mattresses as well as other daily supplies worth RM500,000, benefiting more than 800 children in 15 orphanage homes.

Jagaan Penyayang Nur Iman attended the open house.
