‘APT.’ Ranks 7th on Billboard Hot 100 for 2nd Consecutive Week

Seoul: BLACKPINK member Rose's global hit single "APT." remains strong on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 main singles chart this week.

According to Yonhap News Agency, a Billboard chart preview released Monday (U.S. time) showed that "APT.," featuring Bruno Mars, ranked seventh, holding steady from last week's position. The song had previously peaked at No. 3, marking the highest ranking achieved by a female K-pop artist.

The track is from Rose's first solo full-length album, "rosie," and has gained international popularity with its catchy chorus that repeatedly features the word "apartment," pronounced as "apateu," a Korean abbreviation of the word. Released in October, "APT." initially saw a decline after debuting at No. 8. However, it made an impressive comeback to the top 10 early last month, benefiting from the decline of Christmas songs.
