Braves’ Kim Ha-seong and Giants’ Lee Jung-hoo Achieve Milestones in MLB

Atlanta: Kim Ha-seong of the Atlanta Braves resumed his hitting ways a day after his season-best streak ended. Kim went 1-for-4 in a 4-3 loss to the Washington Nationals at Truist Park in Atlanta on Wednesday (local time). He is batting .250 for the season and .289 in 21 games since joining the Braves at the start of September.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Kim saw his 10-game hitting streak snapped Tuesday but returned to the hit column in his first trip to the plate in the bottom of the second inning Wednesday, with a single deflected into center field by the glove of second baseman Luis Garcia Jr. Kim was held hitless over his next three plate appearances. He lined out to left fielder Daylen Lile in the fourth and flied out to right fielder Dylan Crews in the sixth, before grounding out to Garcia in the eighth.

Also in the majors Wednesday, Lee Jung-hoo of the San Francisco Giants went 1-for-4 with his first double of September, as his team defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 4-3 at Oracle Park in San Francisco. Batting sixth, Lee lined a double to center in the bottom of the second inning to score Casey Schmitt, who'd doubled to lead off the frame. It was Lee's first extra-base hit since Aug. 27.

Despite his long dry spell, Lee leads the Giants with 31 doubles this season.
