Celltrion Operating Profit More Than Triples to 242.5 Billion Won in Q2

Seoul: Celltrion Inc., South Korea's leading biopharmaceutical firm, on Monday estimated its second-quarter operating profit at 242.5 billion won (US$174.6 million), marking a significant increase of 234.5 percent from the same period last year. This substantial growth reflects the company's strong performance in the recent quarter.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's revenue also saw an increase of 9.9 percent, reaching 961.5 billion won. However, data regarding the net profit was not available at the time of reporting. Despite this remarkable growth in operating profit, it was noted that the figure was 2.8 percent lower than the average estimate, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.

Celltrion Inc. has announced that it will release its final earnings report at a later date, which is expected to provide further insights into its financial performance for the quarter.
