Seoul: CJ Logistics Corp. announced on Tuesday a significant increase in its fourth-quarter net profit, reaching 91.6 billion won (US$63 million), marking a 19.5 percent rise compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating profit for the October-December quarter rose to 154.3 billion won, an increase of 7.2 percent from the previous year. Additionally, CJ Logistics reported a revenue increase of 3.3 percent, totaling 3.16 trillion won for the quarter.
The company's financial performance exceeded market expectations. Analysts had predicted an average net profit of 84 billion won, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm associated with Yonhap News Agency.
