Seoul: CS Wind Corp. on Friday announced its second-quarter net income of 38.9 billion won (US$28 million), marking a 64 percent decrease compared to the same period last year. The company released these figures through a regulatory filing, highlighting a challenging quarter.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating profit for the April-June period reached 59.3 billion won, reflecting a 54 percent decline from the previous year. Additionally, sales decreased by 24.2 percent, totaling 650 billion won.
Despite the downturn, CS Wind's earnings surpassed market expectations. Analysts had projected an average net profit of 36.5 billion won, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, a financial data firm associated with Yonhap News Agency.
