DL E and C Q2 net profit up 14.4 pct to 40.6 bln won

DL E and C Co. on Thursday reported its second-quarter net income of 40.6 billion won (US$29.8 million), up 14.4 percent from a year earlier.The company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 32.6 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 71.9 billion won a year ago. Revenue rose 5.1 percent to 2.07 trillion won.The earnings fell behind market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 56.7 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.Source: Yonhap News Agency
