Seoul: Doosan Enerbility Co. has announced its second-quarter financial results, revealing a net profit of 197.8 billion won (US$143.5 million) for the period. This marks a decrease of 10.4 percent compared to the same quarter last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, despite the decline in net income, Doosan Enerbility's earnings surpassed market expectations. Analysts had projected a net profit average of 107.6 billion won, as per a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
The company's operating income for the April to June period also saw a decrease, recording 271.1 billion won, which is down 12.5 percent from the previous year. However, sales experienced growth, rising by 10.1 percent to reach 4.56 trillion won.
