First Lady Kim Hea Kyung and Japanese PM’s Wife Engage in Cultural Knot Tying Session

Tokyo: First Lady Kim Hea Kyung met with Yoshiko Ishiba, the wife of Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, in Tokyo on Saturday. They bonded over a traditional knot-making event, as reported by the presidential office. Kim, who accompanied President Lee Jae Myung on his trip to Japan, highlighted that characters in the Netflix animated film "KPop Demon Hunters," produced by Sony Pictures, wear ornaments made with traditional knots.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Kim expressed hope that the two countries could expand cultural cooperation, emphasizing its limitless potential. Following the knot-making session, Kim and Ishiba exchanged the ornaments they had crafted and expressed a desire to meet again in South Korea.
