‘Golden’ from ‘Kpop Demon Hunters’ Soundtrack Tops British Official Chart for 6th Week

London: "Golden," the smash hit single from the original soundtrack of the Netflix animation film "Kpop Demon Hunters," has topped the British Official Singles Chart Top 100 for the sixth time.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the chart unveiled Friday (local time) showed "Golden" holding on to the No. 1 spot, just as it did the previous week, surpassing Olivia Dean's "Man I Need" and Sabrina Carpenter's "Tears." The song was performed by Korean American artists Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami as the film's fictional girl group Huntr/x.

Since its debut on the chart at No. 93, "Golden" first reached No. 1 on August 1. It briefly slipped to No. 2 before reclaiming the top spot and has maintained the No. 1 position for five consecutive weeks, including this week. Additionally, the song has dominated the U.S. Billboard's Hot 100 main singles chart for four weeks.

Other tracks from the "Kpop Demon Hunters" soundtrack also ranked high on the British chart, with "Soda Pop" and "Your Idol" securing the fourth and seventh positions, respectively. An alternate version of "Takedown," performed by Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung of K-pop girl group TWICE, came in at 24th.

Released on June 20, the animated film has officially become the most-watched title in Netflix's history across both films and TV series. The soundtrack's success is further evidenced by other charting tracks such as TWICE's "Strategy" at No. 35, BLACKPINK's "Jump" at No. 37, Katseye's "Gabriela" at No. 45, and BLACKPINK member Rose's "APT." at No. 52 on the British Official chart this week.
