Seoul: Hana Financial Group on Tuesday reported a net income of 1.13 trillion won (US$791.3 million) for the third quarter, marking a decrease of 2.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, despite the decline in net income, Hana Financial Group's operating profit for the July-September period increased by 11 percent on-year, reaching 1.47 trillion won. However, the company experienced a 0.8 percent drop in sales, totaling 10.89 trillion won.
The reported earnings surpassed market expectations, as analysts had estimated a net profit of 1.05 trillion won, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm associated with Yonhap News Agency.
