Hanjin to expand branches in Europe for logistics deals

SEOUL, Hanjin Logistics Corp., the logistics unit of airline conglomerate Hanjin Group, said Monday it will add seven new branches in Europe by 2027 to gain a bigger share in the local logistics markets.

Hanjin Logistics currently operates 37 subsidiaries and branches in 18 countries to provide trucking services of air cargoes for local customers.

In Europe, it has one subsidiary in the Czech Republic and four branches in Germany, Austria, Poland, and Norway. Seven new branches will be added by 2027 — one in Hungary this year and six in countries such as France, Britain and Italy, the company said in a statement.

Hanjin said it aims to win more trucking deals for air cargoes arriving from South Korea in Europe, while targeting to receive logistics orders from Korean firms operating there and local companies.
